McCartney: 'Beatles Will Be Online In 2008'
Reported by Jay Cochran - 10:31 AM 2007.11.16

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY is confident THE BEATLES back catalogue will be available online by 2008. Songs by the Beatles were withheld from downloads following a dispute between iTunes parent company Apple and the Beatles record company, despite solo efforts by all band members, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and McCartney being available digitally. And McCartney is confident the Beatles recordings will soon follow suit. He says, "It's down to fine-tuning, but I'm pretty sure it'll be happening next year, 2008. "You've got to get these things right. You don't want to do something that's as cool as that and in three years time you think, 'Oh God, why did we do that?' There's just maybe one little sticking point left, and I think it's being cleared up as we speak, so it shouldn't be too long." MORE Music NEWS |
