"The Dark Knight" Score Up For An Oscar

Officials at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have changed their minds and decided that the original score from "The Dark Knight" movie would be eligible for an Oscar in the original score category. They had originally said it was not eligible because there were to many composers involved in the making of it.
Normally two composers is the max the Academy will consider and it was determined that Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard were the main composers responsible for the creation of this score, which is why the original decision to not allow it was overturned.
