Cartoon Network Rolls the D.I.C.E. In January
Reported by Outsiders - 01:29 PM 2005.01.13
The Cartoon Network has set the U.S. television debut of the D.I.C.E. (DNA Integrated Cybernetic Enterprises) anime series from Bandai Entertainment on Saturday, January 22nd at 7:30 pm (ET, PT). The science fiction/adventure series is targeted at 6-11 year-old boys and Bandai is planning the simultaneous launch of an extensive D.I.C.E. toy line.
The Cartoon Network also announced that the DC Comics-based Krypto the Superdog animated series will be shown Monday through Friday at 9:30 am (ET, PT) starting on Monday April 4. Unlike the Krypto series, which is clearly aimed at younger viewers, Warner Bros. Animation's latest Batman cartoon series, which is entitled simply The Batman, is quite a bit darker. The new series picks up the story of the Caped Crusader in his third year as a crimefighter as he is just finding his way as the protector and defender of Gotham and is forced to confront a Rogues Gallery of villains, including The Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, Riddler, and Man-Bat for the first time. The Batman will air on Saturday nights at 9 pm (ET, PT) and debuts on April 2. MORE animation NEWS |
