Imagine Robert De Niro's character in "Goodfellas" snitching to the Feds. Well, actually you don't have to. It seems filmmaker Luc Besson (The Professional, The Fifth Element) is tackling that scenario in his new action-comedy "The Family," which sees De Niro as a notorious Mafia boss who, after squealing to authorities, is relocated with his fuming wife (Michelle Pfeiffer) and tee'd off children (Dianna Agron and John D'Leo) to a small town in France, under the witness protection program.
Tommy Lee Jones co-stars as De Niro's Federal handler whose assignment gets increasingly difficult when the mafia finds out the family's secret location. Guns, explosives, hit men and rocket launchers. The film's debut trailer surely packs a punch, you can check it out above.
The Manzoni family, a notorious mafia clan, is relocated to Normandy, France under the witness protection program, where fitting in soon becomes challenging as their old habits die hard.
