Blu-Ray wins around round in the fight for the HD-DVD market. Subscription movie service Netflix has announced it will be phasing out the HD-DVDs it currently carries and switches to carrying Blu-Ray films along with standard DVDs.
Netflix has recently stocked over 400 Blu-Ray movies including hits like Across the Universe and this week's recent release Gone, Baby Gone. Netflix hopes to be carrying Blu-Ray for every DVD available by the end of the month. This strikes another blow for the HD-DVD market after four of the six major movie studios announced they would be making their movies available on Blu-Ray.
