Viacom Tells YouTube: 'Remove Our Videos'
Reported by Jay Cochran - 12:15 PM 2007.02.03

US media group Viacom has demanded the removal of 100,000 videos from website YouTube after talks over revenue from the site collapsed.

Viacom said videos owned by its companies, including clips from the SHREK movies, MTV and MISS AMERICA 2007, have already been viewed 1.2 billion times on the website.

Viacom had proposed a system of allowing videos to remain on the website in return for a share in YouTube's advertising revenue, but the two media groups were unable to reach an agreement.
