Will Sci-Fi Lead The Way At The 82nd Academy Awards

The nominations for the 82nd Academy Awards were announced today. James Cameron's "AVATAR" and the war themed "The Hurt Locker" lead with 9 nominations each, including a nomination for Best Picture. Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds" pulls in 8 nominations including one for Directing.

"Star Trek" managed to grab 4 nominations including one for Makeup and Visual Effects while last summer's blockbuster "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" only managed to pull in 1 nomination for Sound Mixing. Check out the full list of nominations and catagories below:
