Transformers Movie Video Game Details

Some new details about the upcoming video game based on the Dreamworks/Paramount Transformers movie video game thats coming this summer from Activision were revealed that the 2007 American International Toy Fair.


  • The name of the game is "Transformers The Game"

  • The platforms available will include: Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, Sony PS2, Sony PS3, Sony PSP, and the Microsoft XBox 360.

  • The game will be a battle between the Autobots and the Decepticon.

  • Nintendo DS wil be supporting four player editions separate for Autobots and Decepticons.

  • The Sony PSP will also release a four player edition. Details on the game are pending.

  • The Nintendo Wii version will make use of special Wii remote functions, including actions like throwing, driving, and jumping.

  • Game music was not final. Activision said they would have a soundtrack from the film.


  • The game will probably include cut scenes from the movie

  • Post-production work for the game is being done by Blur.

  • The Robots and alternate modes are based on CGI models from the actual movie.

  • Game storyline is specific and selectible for Autobot or Decepticon faction.

  • The game offers Autobots and Decepticons factions to play on.

  • Autobots OR Decepticons are capable of a game win.

  • There will be nine Transformers charcaters to choose from.

  • The game will include drones and other assist characters for main players.

  • The game will inlcude others characters that may/may not be characters seen in the movie.

  • The Transformers game will include references to Generation 1.

  • The gaming environment is loaded with interactive functions.

  • Players can pick things up and use them as weapons.

  • Players can also throw things.

  • Players can destroy other things like cars and builings.

  • You can transform the robot at any time from mode to mode.

  • Characters can transform while flying through the air
