Reported by Jay Cochran - 04:36 PM 2007.06.12
More than half of CHOW YUN-FAT's scenes in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD'S END have reportedly been cut by the Chinese censor.
The sequel, which again stars Johnny Depp and Keira Knightley, opens in cinemas across China today (12Jun07). According to the local press, over half the scenes featuring Yun-Fat as a Singapore pirate have been axed, including one sequence in which he recites an eighth century poem in Cantonese. A spokesman for studio Disney has confirmed to trade paper Daily Variety there have been cuts, but didn't specify what they are. MORE movies NEWS |
