S.W.A.T.: Fire-Fight Starts Production In April, 2010

MovieInsider is reporting that Columbia Pictures, Original Film, and producer Neal Moritz have apparently hired director Benny Boom to helm the sequel to S.W.A.T. The screenplay has been written by Reed Steiner and is titled S.W.A.T.: Fire-Fight with production set to begin in April 2010.The sequel will follow LAPD Lieutenant Paul Cutler, who is transferred to a SWAT team in Detroit and finds himself the target of a homicidal genius who is protected by government officials.
