'Piranha 3D' Footage 'Banned' From San Diego Comic Con *UPDATED*
Reported by Outsiders - 10:09 PM 2010.07.14

The Weinstein Company and Piranha 3D has been "banned" from the San Diego Comic-Con.

Well, maybe not technically banned but according to Paul Scheer, who appears in the film, "Piranha 3D has been banned from this year’s Comic Con Convention in San Diego for being too "Intense" and "NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY."

David Glanzer, Comic Con’s director of marketing and public relations said the reason behind the "banning":

"My understanding is that the footage wasn’t all ages appropriate. We don’t check ID to get into those meeting rooms, so we don’t want something inappropriate."

So why not just have the panel or footage shown at a later hour or have an advisory posted?
