Hunger Games Proves It's No Stooge At The Box Office

"The Hunger Games" for a fourth week has again beaten out the competition at the US Box Office by taking the number 1 spot with an estimated take of $21.5 million.

The new remake of "The Three Stooges" opened at number 2 this week with an estimated take of $17.1 million, and the horror/comedy from Lionsgate "The Cabin in the Woods" opened at number 3 with an estimated take of $14.8 million.

"Titanic 3D" drops to number 4 this week with an estimated take of $11.6 million, and the newest American Pie installment "American Reunion" rounds out the Top 5 this week with an estimated take of $10.7 million.

The ten estimated top-producing motion pictures for the weekend, per data collected as of Sunday, April 15, 2012 include:

1. The Hunger Games: $21,500,000
2. The Three Stooges: $17,100,000
3. The Cabin in the Woods: $14,850,000
4. Titanic 3D: $11,625,000
5 American Reunion: $10,700,000
6. Mirror Mirror: $7,000,000
7. Wrath of the Titans: $6,905,000
8. 21 Jump Street: $6,800,000
9. Lockout: $6,250,000
10. Dr. Seuss' The Lorax: $3,020,000
