Director Francis Lawrence Picked For 'Hunger Games' Sequel 'Catching Fire'

 Lionsgate has finally settled on Francis Lawrence (I Am Legend and Constantine) to direct the second installment of The Hunger Games franchise, Catching Fire. Lawrence will be replacing Gary Ross as director as Ross dropped out of the project last week. Lionsgate wanted Lawrence as he is not involved in any projects so he can jump right into the Catching Fire project with Jennifer Lawrence before Fox enforces an option for her to make the second installment of X-Men: First Class. Some feel that Fox might not even make that early 2013 start date.Source: Deadline MORE movies NEWS
