Brave - Third Theatrical Trailer
Reported by Outsiders - 10:21 AM 2012.04.24
Disney and Pixar have released a third trailer for their upcoming animated pic "Brave," which follows Merida, a free-spirited Scottish princess with a propensity for archery. This new preview also focuses on the bitter relationship between Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) and her mother, Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). But despite the Queen's strict rules: "A lady rises early, doesn't stuff her gob and does not place her weapons on the table," Merida continues to strive for individual freedom, unfortunately freedom has a price. This is evident in the trailer when she issues a spell to change her fate which inadvertently unleashes a monstrous black forest bear onto her kingdom. Now it's up to her to undo the spell, she just needs to be brave. "Brave" stars the voices of Kelly MacDonald, Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Craig Ferguson, Robbie Coltrane Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In "Brave," a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts. Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Wise Woman (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it's too late. Release: June 22nd, 2012
