Marvel's The Avengers Wins Big At The Box Office... And We Do Mean BIG

"Marvel's The Avengers" kicked major butt this weekend at the US box office, taking the all-time opening weekend record with an estimated $200.3 million and beating out the previous record holder Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 ($169.2M)."Think Like a Man" fell to the number 2 spot in its third week with an estimated take of $8 million while "The Hunger Games" moved back up to number 3 in its seventh week with an estimated take of $5.7 million. Zac Efron's Romance "The Lucky One" dropped to number 4 with an estimated take of $5.5 million, and the animated film "The Pirates! Band of Misfits" rounds out the Top 5 this weekend with an estimated take of $5.4 million. The ten estimated top-producing motion pictures for the weekend, per data collected as of Sunday, May 6, 2012 include: 1. Marvel's The Avengers: $200,300,000 2. Think Like a Man: $8,000,000 3.
