Philip Seymour Hoffman Offered Role In 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire'

 EW has confirmed a report by Deadline that The Hunger Games: Catching Fire producers have asked Philip Seymour Hoffman to play Plutarch Heavensbee, the new Gamemaker at the Capitol. Seneca Crane (Wes Bentley) was the original Gamemaker at the Capitol but we won't spoil the movie for you on what happens to him. Plutarch is a far savvier political animal than his predecessor, and he plays a crucial role in the events of Catching Fire. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is being directed by Francis Lawrence and shooting is to begin later this fall. MORE movies NEWS
