Want to know how they made a toy teddy bear walk and talk in Seth MacFarlane's R-rated comedy, "Ted?" Well, check out this new featurette which gives some insight on how MacFarlane and his crew did it. It turns out, the "Family Guy" creator strapped on a motion-capture rig and physically performed all of Ted's scenes. The process also gave MacFarlane the ability to interact and ad-lip dialog with Mark Wahlberg, and Mila Kunis. And in case you were wondering: yes, this also means he had to pantomime the act of humping a cash register -- of course, only for the sake of comedy.
Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane brings his boundary-pushing brand of humor to the big screen for the first time as writer, director and voice star of Ted. In the live action/CG-animated comedy, he tells the story of John Bennett (Mark Wahlberg), a grown man who must deal with the cherished teddy bear who came to life as the result of a childhood wish...and has refused to leave his side ever since.
Ted stars Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Laura Vandervoort, Giovanni Ribisi, Seth MacFarlane (voice)
