Epic - Theatrical Trailer

An early trailer has debuted for "Epic," the latest 3D animated film from Blue Sky Studios (the creators of "Ice Age" and "Rio"). The film is directed by Oscar-winning animator Chris Wedge (his first directing effort since 2005s 'Robots'), and it features a star-studded voice cast that includes Amanda Seyfried, Josh Hutcherson, Beyonce Knowles, and Colin Farrell. Set to open in theaters next year on May 24th 2013, the film follows a teenage girl as she's magically transported to a dreamlike forest filled with "talking slugs and tiny little soldiers." Soon, she realizes that her only way back home is by helping her new-found friends fight a war between good and evil. EPIC is a 3D CG action-adventure comedy that reveals a hidden world unlike any other. From the creators of ICE AGE and RIO, EPIC tells the story of an ongoing battle deep in the forest between the forces of good and the forces of evil. When a teen age girl finds herself magically transported into this secret universe, she must band together with a rag-tag team of fun and whimsical characters in order to save their world ... and ours.
