Disney & Pixar Planning 'Finding Nemo' Sequel With Andrew Stanton Directing
Reported by Outsiders - 09:38 PM 2012.07.18
Disney is giving Andrew Stanton a second chance after his disaster directing debut with John Carter and the $200 million write=down for Disney but letting him direct the sequel to Disney-based Pixar‘s Finding Nemo, with the idea that Disney would give him another shot behind the camera on a live-action film. Both Disney and Pixar are excited by this because the sequel is a concept idea that the studio likes and Stanton has won two Oscars for his animation work on Wall-E and Finding Nemo. As for the live-action project, the studio is working on getting a project where Stanton can redeem himself in his second attempt and not repeat another John Carter on their hands.
