Reported by Outsiders - 09:40 PM 2012.08.16

Disney released a 60-second IMAX theaters PSA Spot featuring Tim Burton's latest stop motion-animated kids horror flick "Frankenweenie." Based on one of Burton's early shorts, Frankenweenie is about a young boy named Victor Frankenstien who revives his beloved dog Sparky after he is struck and killed by a car, which then begins to unintentionally wreak havoc amongst the town. The film is set to open in IMAX theaters on October 5th, and includes the voice talents of Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Short, Christopher Lee, and Martin Landau.

From creative genius Tim Burton ("Alice in Wonderland," The Nightmare Before Christmas") comes "Frankenweenie," a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life--with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous.

Frankenweenie stars the voices of Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Short, Martin Landau, Christopher Lee, Atticus Shaffer, Conchata Ferrell, Tom Kenny

Release: October 5th, 2012
