Frankenweenie - Behind-The-Scenes Featurette
Reported by Outsiders - 10:28 AM 2012.09.19
Do you want the latest lowdown on Tim Burton's upcoming stop-motion 3D movie, "Frankenweenie?" Well, take a look at this just-released featurette, which goes behind the scenes and has the cast and crew spewing out details about the Frankenstein-inspired flick. The clip also features the movie's wonderful voice cast, including Martin Short, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Landau and Winona Ryder -- who interestingly hasn't worked with Burton since "Edward Scissorhands." Filmed in black-and-white and rendered in 3D, the film revolves around a young boy named Victor and his cherished dog, Sparky. However, when his beloved pet accidentally dies, a heartbroken Victor uses the power of science to bring Sparky back to life. Problem arises once Victor's oddball neighbors catch wind of his mischievous experiments. From creative genius Tim Burton ("Alice in Wonderland," The Nightmare Before Christmas") comes "Frankenweenie," a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life--with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous. Frankenweenie stars the voices of Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Short, Martin Landau, Christopher Lee, Atticus Shaffer, Conchata Ferrell, Tom Kenny Release: October 5th, 2012
