SDCC 2010 - 'Smallville' Season 10 Trailer & Press Conference Highlights (Updated Trailer)
Reported by Outsiders - 11:26 PM 2010.07.26

The following is the highlights and recaps of what happened and what was said during the 'Smallville' Press Conference:

Tom Welling joined Cassidy Freeman, Erica Durance and Justin Hartley, as well as show-runners Brian Peterson and Kelly Soulders on the stage.

* The footage opens with Clark lying motionless on the ground, blue kryptonite dagger still inside, as Lois wakes up over him, the aftermath of the season-nine cliffhanger.
* Lois standing over the Superman costume left to Clark by his mother, which we've learned is in fact the same suit from Superman Returns.
* Hawkman will return, Carter Hall, undertaking an archaeological endeavor in the desert with Lois.
* During her absence, the bubbly Cat Grant will take over for Lois at the Daily Planet.
* Tess Mercer, having survived her Kryptonian firing of the last season awakens disfigured in a Cadmus lab! But who's that mysterious young boy showing her around the lab, full of tanks of other deformed people, his "brothers?"
* What better way to celebrate the show's longevity than with a Smallville High reunion? And speaking of reunions, was that John Glover as Lionel Luthor and James Marsters as Braniac we spied?
* As previously heard, Jonathan Kent will return to speak to Clark, looking a little shaggier than we're used to.
* Say, what's Chloe doing with the helmet of Dr. Fate? And what does she need to rescue Oliver from?
* Who's that smokey figure bursting into crows? A LOST crossover? Or perhaps an incarnation of Darkseid?
* Gee, was "Superman" FLYING when he hoisted up the Daily Planet's globe?
* Geoff Johns will be writing an episode featuring Booster Gold and Blue Beetle!
* Tom Welling will be directing more episodes, as well as Justin Hartley.
* No definitive answer on Lex Luthor's return.
* We will see more DC members of the Suicide Squad, as well as Darkseid's harbingers
* The upcoming 200th episode will delve into Smallville's past, present and future, also making it the longest running sci-fi show on television.
* While she won't be as present this season, Chloe's storyline will wrap up in a way that satisfies the fans.
* Darkseid will represent the major threat to Lois, Clark, and the rest of the super-gang!
* Executive producer Brian Peterson confimed that the Lord of Apokolips would appear "in a different form than you're used to," in typical Smallville fashion, but that the threat would be the same.
