SDCC 2012: Frankenweenie - 'Homage' Trailer
Reported by Outsiders - 08:21 PM 2012.07.12

Here's a new "Homage" Trailer that was just unveiled during the San Diego Comic-Con panel for Tim Burton's upcoming stop-motion animated film "Frankenweenie." Based on one of Burton's early shorts, Frankenweenie is about a young boy named Victor who revives his dog Sparky after he is struck and killed by a car. In this new trailer, which pays homage to the classic Hammer Film trailers, we see some new scenes from the upcoming remake that Disney first fired Tim Burton back in 1984, for being too dark and scary for young children. "Frankenweenie" is set to frighten young audiences on October 5th.

From creative genius Tim Burton ("Alice in Wonderland," The Nightmare Before Christmas") comes "Frankenweenie," a heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life--with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous.

Frankenweenie stars Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Short, Martin Landau, Atticus Shaffer, Conchata Ferrell, Tom Kenny

Release: October 5th, 2012
