Famed Disney Animator Passes Away

Famed Disney animator Ollie Johnston has passed away at the age of 95 according to the Walt Disney Studios. Johnston was the last of Walt Disney's "Nine Old Men" consisting of animators who had worked directly with the legendary Walt Disney. Johnston's cause of death was not disclosed. Johnston had animated for Disney since 1935. He worked on such Disney hits as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Disney's first animated film, Pinocchio, Cinderella and Bambi. He has also written several books for the Disney company with fellow animator Frank Thomas. Funeral plans are being kept private, Johnston is survived by two sons. MORE celebrities NEWS |
