Quaid To Have Minor Role In G.I.Joe

In an interview, Dennis Quaid admits that his role in the upcoming G.I.Joe movie is not a major one but hopes to play a larger part in the next two movies, if they happen. "Not so much for me in this one. Hopefully, there's going to be two more after this. I don't really have a lot to do here in the first one. I really signed up for the future as well." Quaid is playing the role of G.I.Joe leader General Hawk Abernathy in the Stephen Sommers' directed movie set to hit theaters on August 7, 2009. The cast for G.I.Joe includes Ray Parks (Snake-Eyes), Sienna Miller (Baroness) and Rachel Nichols (Scarlett), Said Taghmaoui (Breaker), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Heavy Duty), Marlon Waynes (Ripcord), Channing Tatum (Duke) and Dennis Quaid (Hawk), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Cobra Commander), Arnold Vosloo (Zartan) and Karolína Isela Kurková (Cover Girl). Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Hasbro's Brian Goldner will produce a G.I. Joe live-action movie scheduled for release in August 7, 2009. Joining the production team along with newly-named director, Stephen Sommers, and business-partner Bob Ducsay will be scribe Stuart Beattie. MORE movies NEWS
