According to those close to the dealmaking, a settlement draws near between the studios of Warner Bros. and Fox.
Last month A federal judge ruled that Fox did have distribution rights to the 'Watchmen' movie, which is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. on March 6. Talks between the two sides kicked into overdrive this past weekend, with both parties meeting again behind closed doors for about 30 minutes on Monday in Los Angeles federal court Judge Gary Fees' chambers. Neither side would comment on the talks, but Warner Bros. has not pressed its earlier request to move up the January 20 injunction hearing, suggesting a settlement is near.
