Warner Bros. Gives Green & 'Hedlund' To 'Akira'

 Warner Bros. has given the greenlight to director Jaume Collet-Serra to direct the live-action feature of "Akira" with the leading man of "TRON: Legacy Garrett Hedlund.'Akira will be based on the original manga by Katsuhiro Otomo, depicting a sci-fi cyberpunk dystopia, but will relocate the action to "New Manhattan" rather than "Neo-Tokyo."'
