Gary Ross Wants To Work His Magic For 'Houdini'
Reported by Outsiders - 04:32 PM 2012.05.02

THR is reporting that director Gary Ross has another trick up his sleeve since he won't be directing the sequel to The Hunger Games. Ross is currently in negotiations to direct Houdini for Summit.

The project is based on the 2006 biography by William Kalush and Larry Sloman of The Secret Life of Houdini, The Making of America's First Superhero. The book became known for 'insinuating that the master magician and premier escape artist acted as a spy for Britain, helped the Secret Service and was in cahoots with police organizations.' Noah Oppenheim wrote the most recent draft of the script after Summit picked up the rights to the book in March 2009.
