Gary Oldman Signs On To Robocop Remake

THR reports that actor Gary Oldman (Dark Knight Returns) will star opposite Joel Kinnaman (Alex Murphy/Robocop) in MGM’s remake of Robocop.
Oldman is said to play the scientist Norton who created Robocop, and now must deal with his creation who is trying to rediscover his humanity and the callous needs of a corporation he works for. The movie is being directed by Jose Padilha and being produced by Strike Entertainment’s Marc Abraham and Eric Newman. The movie has a tentative release date of Summer 2013. MORE movies NEWS
