Ecstasy Of Order: The Tetris Masters - Trailer
Reported by Outsiders - 03:48 PM 2012.08.10

Ah, the game of Tetris: it's deceptively simple, yet so damn addicting. And so deliriously adored that a championship tournament was built for hardcore players. Here, check out the trailer for the documentary "Ecstasy Of Order: The Tetris Masters," in which filmmaker Adam Cornelius focuses his lens on a group of ardent Tetris players competing for the top spot at 2010's Classic Tetris World Championship. Even if you're not into the game, but like competition documentaries like "Spellbound" or "The King of Kong" then you might want to check this one out. The self-produced film is currently available on DVD which you can purchase through the movie's official website. It will also be released on iTunes, Xbox, Playstation and other VOD platforms starting on August 21st.

From the days of Thor Aackerlund and his historic victory at the 1990 Nintendo World Championships, right up to the present and Harry Hong's perfect "Max-Out" score, this documentary expertly chronicles over two decades of Tetris Mastery and captures the greatest world record Tetris players as they prepare for the Classic Tetris World Championship.

Gamers: Robin Mihara, Harry Hong, Thor Aackerlund, Jonas Neubauer, Ben Mullen

Release: August 21, 2012 (iTunes, Xbox, Playstation, VOD)
