The thought of motherhood can be scary for some women. But in the case of Jessica Chastain's newest movie, motherhood is downright terrifying! To see what we mean, check out this new creepy international trailer for Chastain's upcoming supernatural hair-raiser "Mama."
The film was directed by up-and-comer Andy Muschietti, and executive-produced by Guillermo del Toro. And it features Chastain as a Goth Chick that suddenly becomes a not-so-ready mother when she agrees to adopt her husband's (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) two nieces. The thing is, these girls were found living in the woods for most of their lives and it seems they were not, exactly, all alone. Whatever kept them alive for all those years is now pissed off that they have been taken away. And it turns out, this demonic woodland creature (which the girls lovingly call, Mama) is coming to reclaim them. The only thing that is standing in its way is Chastain -- of course, she will need to overcome her fear of looking under her bed, and opening closet doors.
Guillermo del Toro presents Mama, a supernatural thriller that tells the haunting tale of two little girls who disappeared into the woods the day that their parents were killed. When they are rescued years later and begin a new life, they find that someone or something still wants to come tuck them in at night.
Mama stars Jessica Chastain, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Megan Charpentier, Isabelle Nellsse
