New Concept Artwork Of del Toro's 3-D Version Of 'Pinocchio'

We have two new concept art images of Guillermo del Toro's 3-D stop-motion version of Pinocchio which is already heading into preproduction and shooting planned for the Summer of 2013. Based from the concept art which shows Pinocchio heading for a dip in the sea with one of puppet-theater owner Mangiafoco's monkeys. del Toro's version will be much different from the Disney interpretation.
''If I thought it would be similar I would be very afraid,'' says del Toro, who is co-directing the film with Fantastic Mr. Fox animation director Mark Gustafson. ''You cannot top Disney.''   Source: EW
