Last week, he tweeted about working on it, but director Bryan Singer has finally unveiled a brand-new trailer for his 3D action-fantasy movie "Jack the Giant Slayer." And yep, this is a puffed-up movie version of the "Jack and the Beanstalk" fairy tale. Only this time, when the simple farm boy Jack (played by "X-Men: First Class" star Nicholas Hoult) accidentally opens the gateway to the magical land of monsters, it starts an all-out war between Humans and Giants. And it looks like the fate of humankind will fall into the hands of a fearless group of knights, played by Ewan McGregor and Eddie Marsan. However, they will first need Jack's help to save the King's daughter (Eleanor Tomlinson) who has been captured by the gigantic ogres and locked inside a cage.
The movie, which also stars Ian McShane, Stanley Tucci and Bill Nighy, was originally scheduled for this summer. But after a few date shifts and a slight title change (they replaced "Killer" with "Slayer"), Warner Bros decided to pencil a theatrical release for early 2013. So, starting on March 1st, you can expect plenty of Giant-size action at your local movie theaters.
An ancient war is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack (Nicholas Hoult), into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom and its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend ... and gets the chance to become a legend himself.
