Tom Cruise, by now, is used to overly obsessed fans not approving him as the central character of their beloved novels, but he eventually wins them over when they see him embody their literary hero onto the big screen. Even author Anne Rice was eventually charmed by the Hollywood star when he played her Lestat in "Interview With A Vampire" (she originally pictured Rutger Hauer for the role).
In Cruise's latest action movie "Jack Reacher" (set to open on December 21st), bestselling author Lee Child was also won over by Cruise's portrayal of his fictional hero, who in the books is pictured as a much taller and muscular man. Child expresses his thoughts on the potential movie franchise, and warmly gives his blessing to the movie's main star in this just-released featurette. Take look, above.
