Reported by Outsiders - 12:23 PM 2012.12.28

Bleeding Cool has released some footage via Cartoon Brew of test footage from director Alex Zamm for both Hong Kong Phooey and Marvin the Martian.

Hong Kong Phooey will be based on the animated TV series of the same name, was aired on ABC in the mid-70's. Eddie Murphy is attached to play mild-mannered dog Penry who, after stumbling into a mystic ceremony and is accidentally granted mystic powers, including the ability to walk, talk, and do kung fu. Under the tutelage of his kung fu master, Penry dons a costume and becomes Hong Kong Phooey, and with the help of his trusting sidekick Spot the cat cleans up a rogues gallery of wacky criminals.

The Marvin the Martian feature film announcement, meanwhile, dates back to 2008 and was to be based on the classic "Looney Tunes" character. Originally created in 1948, Marvin the Martian was often intent on blowing up the Earth, only to be foiled by Bugs Bunny.
