Dead Man Down - Theatrical Trailer

Reported by Outsiders - 10:45 AM 2013.01.03

Denmark-born director Niels Arden Oplev made a huge splash in the world of cinema with 2009's Swedish-version of "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" (not to be confused with the David Fincher-directed one). Now, he's aiming at breaking through the English-language market with a twisty, crime-noir thriller called "Dead Man Down," which has the Danish director reuniting with his "Dragon Tattoo" leading lady Noomi Rapace (aka the original Lisbeth Salander).

The trailer has officially been released online, and it sees Rapace as a blackmailing femme fatale that obtains the services of a highly-skilled hitman (Colin Farrell) to exact vengeance on a murderous crime boss (Terrence Howard). The preview is smoldering with smoky flavors, which has been aided with the sultry music track, Shine On You Crazy Diamond by Kendra Morris. It seems director Arden Oplev has cooked up a delicious serving of bad guys doing bad things for bad women. Color us intrigued, indeed.

DEAD MAN DOWN is an action thriller that stars Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace as two strangers whose mutual desire for revenge draws them together and triggers an escalating chain of violence.

Dead Man Down stars Noomi Rapace, Colin Farrell, Terrence Howard, Dominic Cooper, Isabelle Huppert, Armand Assante

Release: March 8th, 2013
