The Iceman - Theatrical Trailer

Reported by Outsiders - 12:30 AM 2013.01.16

With just one look, Michael Shannon can send shivers down a person's spine. So, it makes perfect sense that the next time the acclaimed cube-faced actor appears on the big screen, he'll be portraying the real-life contract serial killer, Richard Kuklinski (infamously nicknamed as "The Iceman").

But if you need a taste of Shannon's icy stares, well take a gander at this newly-released "official" trailer for the biographical crime thriller, which dramatizes Kuklinski's life, centering on the Mob-connected New Jersey assassin who, in the early 80s, made a living at killing over 100 men, while maintaining a rather normal suburban family life with his wife and children.

Directed by Ariel Vromen, the film also stars Winona Ryder, Ray Liotta, Chris Evans, and James Franco. It will open in theaters on May 3rd.

Inspired by actual events, The Iceman follows notorious contract killer Richard Kuklinski (Academy Award(R) nominee Michael Shannon) from his early days in the mob until his arrest for the murder of more than 100 men. Appearing to be living the American dream as a devoted husband and father; in reality Kuklinski was a ruthless killer-for-hire. When finally arrested in 1986, neither his wife nor daughters have any clue about his real profession.

The Iceman stars Michael Shannon, Winona Ryder, Ray Liotta, Chris Evans, James Franco, David Schwimmer, Robert Davi, Danny Abeckaser

Release: May 3rd, 2013
