Here's a sneak peek clip from the upcoming bio-pic "Lovelace" starring Amanda Seyfried as the 70's icon porn actress Linda Lovelace, who starred in the highly prolific pornographic film "Deep Throat," which unexpectedly swept the nation and helped start a sexual revolution. But behind closed doors, was the harsh treatment Lovelace had to endure from her then controlling husband Chuck Traynor (Peter Sarsgaard) -- a hustler and pimp who forced Linda into performing in hardcore adult films.
In the clip, we see Seyfried as Lovelace in her first photo shoot with photographer Larry Marchiano (Wes Bentley). Watch as she is impressed by just how professional she looks in front of the camera. "Lovelace" will screen at Sundance next week on January 22nd, a US distributor and an official release date should follow later in the year.
In 1972 -- before the internet, before the porn explosion -- Deep Throat was a phenomenon: the first scripted pornographic theatrical feature film, featuring a story, some jokes, and an unknown and unlikely star, Linda Lovelace. Escaping a strict religious family, Linda discovered freedom and the high-life when she fell for and married charismatic hustler Chuck Traynor. As Linda Lovelace she became an international sensation -- less centerfold fantasy than a charming girl-next-door with an impressive capacity for fellatio. Fully inhabiting her new identity, Linda became an enthusiastic spokesperson for sexual freedom and uninhibited hedonism. Six years later she presented another, utterly contradictory, narrative to the world -- and herself as the survivor of a far darker story.
Lovelace stars Amanda Seyfried, Peter Sarsgaard, Wes Bentley, Juno Temple, Sharon Stone, Hank Azaria, Robert Patrick, James Franco, Chris Noth, Chloë Sevigny, Debi Mazar, Adam Brody, Bobby Cannavale, Eric Roberts
