Mark Wahlberg believes in the American dream, but it's a little different than yours. Unless, of course, your dream is to get Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to help you steal a whole bunch of cash from a dirty businessman, while still finding time to pump some iron in the process.
Check out a bulky-looking Wahlberg playing an unfulfilled gym rat that convinces a couple of bodybuilder buddies (Johnson and Anthony Mackie) to drop their dumbbells and join him on his half-baked, get-rich-quick scheme involving the extortion and abduction of a crooked tycoon in the first TV spot for the off-kilter action comedy "Pain & Gain." Considering the film is set in Miami and comes from action directing guru Michael Bay, you can expect the 30-second spot to have plenty of chases, explosions, bikinis, and muscle.
Based on a true story that took place in the 90s, "Pain & Gain" co-stars Tony Shalhoub, Ed Harris, Rebel Wilson and Kurt Angle. It's set to open nationwide on April 26th.
