J.J. Abrams To Direct New 'Star Wars' Movie For Disney

Reported by Outsiders - 2013.01.24

"It's done deal with J.J.," is what sources are telling Deadline as they are reporting that the Star Trek director J.J. Abrams will be helming the next Star Wars movie.

Abrams was convinced to accept the directing job by producer Kathleen Kennedy and the Episode VII movie is set to premiere in 2015 from a script currently in the works by Michael Arndt. Last October, Disney purchased the Lucas franchise for $4 billion dollars, including movie rights.
