If you're planning to buy a movie ticket anytime soon, chances are the theater screen will be plastered with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's muscle-bound face. This is because the wrestler-turned-action star has four completed films, all of which are slated to open in theaters consecutively in the following months (starting from February through May). And kicking off this unintentional movie marathon will be the drug-trafficking thriller "Snitch," which sees Johnson as a grief-stricken father who makes a desperate attempt to save his wrongly-convicted son from spending years in jail by becoming an undercover DEA informant.
Compared to his other films this year (G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Pain & Gain and The Fast and the Furious 6), "Snitch" appears to be a less action-heavy role for Johnson. But that's not to say, he doesn't have his share of fist fights, car chases, and bad guys. Check out this brand-new 60-second trailer which has "The Rock" facing off some tough hombres, including a dangerous gang of drug-dealers (played by Benjamin Bratt and Michael Kenneth Williams) and an unforgiving lawyer (Susan Sarandon) who wants to see some arrests, before she reduces his son's impending prison sentence. The film arrives in theaters on February 22nd.
Action superstar Dwayne Johnson headlines this fast-paced thriller as a father whose teenage son is wrongly accused of a crime and is sentenced to 10 years in jail. In order to clear his son's name, he dangerously goes undercover and risks everything, including his own life, to reduce his son's sentence.
