'Sinister' Sequel In The Works From Blumhouse Productions

Reported by Outsiders - 2013.03.03

The Blumhouse Production company is going forward with the sequel to Sinister after the original grossed over $87 million from only a $3 million budget.

The original Sinister starred Ethan Hawke as a true crime novelist who discovers a box of mysterious, disturbing home movies that plunge his family into a supernatural nightmare.

Cast and story for the sequel are being kept under wraps but creators Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill who wrote the original are writing the sequel. Derrickson directed the original but no word if Derrickson will direct the sequel as director conversations are in the works.
