Back in the classic episodes of the original series of "Star Trek", many enemies ended up spending time in the brig of the finest ship in Starfleet. But in this new scene from J.J. Abrams' sci-fi sequel "Star Trek Into Darkness" (in theaters on May 17th), Benedict Cumberbatch's mysterious villain apparently wanted to be captured by Captain Kirk (Chris Pine). It's all a part of his evil plan to give Kirk certain coordinates to follow, in order to show him the "truth" behind his madness. Watch the clip above.
In the wake of a shocking act of terror from within their own organization, the crew of The Enterprise is called back home to Earth. In defiance of regulations and with a personal score to settle, Captain Kirk leads his crew on a manhunt to capture an unstoppable force of destruction and bring those responsible to justice.
As our heroes are propelled into an epic chess game of life and death, love will be challenged, friendships will be torn apart, and sacrifices must be made for the only family Kirk has left: his crew.
Star Trek Into Darkness is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, John Cho, Bruce Greenwood, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Peter Weller. The movie is set to premiere in North American IMAX theaters on May 15th, going wide on May 17th. It will be released a week earlier in the United Kingdom on May 9th.
