Monsters University - 'Mother's Day' TV Spot
Reported by Outsiders - 08:48 PM 2013.05.08

Pixar is celebrating Mother's Day by releasing a brand-new 30-second TV Spot that features Ms. Squibbles (voiced by former SNL cast member, Julia Sweeney) who stars as the boys' new den mother in the upcoming prequel "Monsters University." Watch as she just loves to give her college student son 'Squichy' a hard time. He's voiced by Pixar's own animator, Peter Sohn (who's famously known for winning the role of the junk-eating mouse, Emile, in Brad Bird's Ratatouille). Take a look, above.

Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike's plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, "Sulley" (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer. The pair's out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University's elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right.

Monsters University stars the voices of Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, Helen Mirren, Alfred Molina, Nathan Fillion, Julia Sweeney, Dave Foley, John Krasinski, Charlie Day, Aubrey Plaza, Sean Hayes, Bonnie Hunt, Frank Oz, Peter Sohn

Release: June 21st, 2013
