White House Down - Extended Trailer

Reported by Outsiders - 12:07 PM 2013.06.10

Remember that debate about whether movie trailers are too long? Well, Roland Emmerich didn't seem to get that memo. The director released an extended 4-minute trailer for the American-President-under-attack thriller "White House Down," starring Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Joey King.

The action-heavy preview sees Tatum as John Cale, a military hotshot who fails to impress his potential boss (Gyllenhaal) during a secret service interview at the White House. But when the executive mansion is suddenly attacked by a paramilitary group, Cale does what any rejected secret service applicant would do: pick up a machine gun and save the President (Foxx) from capture. Adding even more tension is the fact that Cale's young daughter (King), whom he unwisely took to his job interview, is somewhere located on the premises. How can one man save the leader of the free world and his helpless offspring at the same time? Well, a rocket launcher might help.

White House Down stars Channing Tatum, Jamie Foxx, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, Richard Jenkins, James Woods, Jake Weber, Rachelle Lefevre, Joey King, Jimmi Simpson, Lance Reddick, Garcelle Beauvais

Release: June 28th, 2013
