2 Guns - Red-Band Trailer

Reported by Outsiders - 2013.07.30

Universal is making a last-ditch effort to entice moviegoers by releasing a red-band trailer for their new shoot 'em up action-comedy thriller "2 Guns," which opens in theaters this Friday. The Baltasar Kormakur-directed film stars Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg as undercover officers from different agencies, that are each working different angles to infiltrate a Mexican cartel. When they each discover their true identities after participating in a bank heist gone wrong, the two guns reluctantly agree to work together to bring down the kingpin.

For 12 months, DEA agent Robert "Bobby" Trench (Denzel Washington) and U.S. naval intelligence officer Michael "Stig" Stigman (Mark Wahlberg) have been reluctantly attached at the hip. Working undercover as members of a narcotics syndicate, each man distrusts his partner as much as the criminals they have both been tasked to take down. When their attempt to infiltrate a Mexican drug cartel and recover millions goes haywire, Bobby and Stig are suddenly disavowed by their respective superiors. Now that everyone wants them in jail or in the ground, the only person they can count on is the other. Unfortunately for their pursuers, when good guys spend years pretending to be bad, they pick up a few tricks along the way.

Two Guns stars Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg, Paula Patton, Edward James Olmos, Bill Paxton, James Marsden, Fred Ward

Release: August 2nd, 2013
