After nearly ten years Vin Diesel returns to complete his beloved Pitch Black sci-fi trilogy, in the self-titled "Riddick." Now, the studio has dropped a new featurette, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the latest threequel and some insight into the film's story. It seems the Furyan warrior has been busy ruling the Necromonger army for some time now, and he slowly feels himself becoming too civilized and weak-minded. In the hopes of finding an answer to where he came from, Riddick sets down on a deserted planet, which he believes to be the Furyan homeworld. But it soon becomes clear that this was an ambush to leave him for dead, forcing him to call on bounty hunters to get him off the doomed planet.
The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he's encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty. The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won't leave the planet without Riddick's head as their trophy.
Riddick stars Vin Diesel, Katee Sackhoff, Dave Bautista, Jordi Molla, Bokeem Woodbine, Karl Urban, Raoul Trujillo, Nolan Gerard Funk
