Oldboy - Featurette

Reported by Outsiders - 09:41 PM 2013.09.25

Stocked with new footage, this just-released featurette for Spike Lee's remake of "Oldboy" plunges into the psyche of Josh Brolin's character, Joe Doucett, a seemingly innocent man who is imprisoned for two decades and caged in a dreadful hotel room before he's suddenly freed by his mysterious tormentor (presumably played by Elysium's Sharlto Copley). "It's an experience," Brolin says of the film's overall artistry, "And that's what I want ... going to the movies, I want to be moved."

In addition, the new preview offers some nice glimpses at the characters played by Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeth Olsen and Michael Imperioli, all of whom stand in the way of Brolin's rage-fueled quest for the truth. Have a look, above.

An advertising executive (Josh Brolin) is kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his punishment, only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment.

Oldboy stars Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Olsen, Sharlto Copley, Michael Imperioli, Samuel L. Jackson, Lance Reddick, Rami Malek, James Ransone

Release: November 27th, 2013
