The Hunger Games: Catching Fire - 60-Second TV Spot
Reported by Outsiders - 10:45 AM 2013.10.15
Featuring the song "Atlas" by Coldplay (from the movie's upcoming soundtrack), the very first 60-second TV spot for the eagerly-awaited Hunger Games sequel "Catching Fire" has been released online, showing a somber Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) still reeling from the aftermath of winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games.
The new preview starts with a scene showing a cold exchange between Katniss and her District 12 beau, Gale (Liam Hemsworth), which leads into a train-riding Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) who expresses his concerns to Katniss about their quasi-relationship. And it's not long before we see Katniss forcibly brought back into the glittering world of the 75th Annual Hunger Games, where she must again participate in the televised duel-to-the-death (this time against past winners).
THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour" of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) -- a competition that could change Panem forever.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Liam Hemsworth, Willow Shields, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Donald Sutherland, Stanley Tucci, Toby Jones, Jeffrey Wright, Amanda Plummer
