The new profanity-laced red band trailer for "Homefront" provides at least two lessons for any budding movie criminal out there: 1.) don't cook meth in a town run by a hillbilly James Franco and 2.) don't pick a fight with Jason Statham, especially when he's pumping gas in his truck. Both situations will likely end up with an emergency trip to the hospital and one expensive x-ray bill.
The Gary Fleder-directed crime thriller sees Statham as an ex-undercover cop who uproots his young daughter from the city and moves to a small Southern town, where he quickly gets caught in the crosshairs of a cold-blooded meth dealer (Franco). The movie was originally intended to star Sylvester Stallone, who actually wrote the screenplay based on a book by Chuck Logan. Instead, Stallone serves as one of the film's producers, in which he handpicked his "Expendables" costar for the lead role.
Homefront stars Jason Statham, James Franco, Kate Bosworth, Winona Ryder, Omar Benson Miller, Frank Grillo, Izabela Vidovic, Rachelle Lefevre, Clancy Brown
